A COMMUNIST GALLERY AT THE BANK OF IDEAS

We have been building a communist Common Gallery in the Bank of Ideas.   a chance to re-explore the tradition of emancipation and alternative vision going back to Winstanley, Blake, Rosa Luxemburg, Dessalines and Sparticus.

We also continue adding to and creating the space. You are welcome to join us. Come along bring work and literature, make work. At this stage we have decided reproducible work is best in the space. We will also be continuing the showing of the CGTV film reel. Details below. We had to move owing to the inconsiderate requisitioning of the community centre by UBS.

We  invite

  1. Thanks for posting this. I think these lectures raise some interesting problems that we need to think about-
What I think is that social justice should be enacted as much as possible and not deferred in the confrontations of power and injustice we face. So we try and create functioning culture that has an egalitarian structure in its mode of participation in order to better form a culture that has a critical position to what is happening in society as a whole but is not in a reactionary relation to it.
    the problems are
    1) The formation of isolated cultural cells which only speak to themselves.
    2) A culture that is only capable of reacting.
